Hi, my name is Alexandra and I was first introduced to yoga about 23 years ago. What at the time was limited to practicing yoga asana from home via a DVD, it is now a way of life. Yoga has taught me, in the most difficult period of my life, to listen to my heart, to come to my feelings and emotions and above all to let my emotions be and to feel them without judgment. It has brought me back to my core, who I am.
It was more than logical for me to follow a yoga training. At Yogaschool Noord I completed the 200hrs Creative Vinyasa teacher training and I started to specialize through Birthlight to teach pregnancy yoga. In addition, I completed a 50hrs Trauma Informed Yoga Therapy through Network Yoga Therapy.
Pregnancy is the most special, but also vulnerable period in her life for a woman. In which it is extremely important and valuable to take good care of oneself, both physically and mentally. I have been able to experience this myself twice and I am the mother of two beautiful boys. Because of my own (different) experiences in pregnancy, birth and the fourth trimester, I am motivated and passionate to guide other women through yoga in the journey they are allowed to experience.
