About 10 years ago Yoga came my way and it felt like coming home to myself. Because I wanted to know more about the philosophy of Yoga, I followed the Vinyasa teacher training at De Nieuwe Yogaschool in 2015. This was followed by a 10-day Vipassana meditation and since then yoga and meditation have played an important role in my life.
This was reinforced and deepened even more when I was diagnosed with cancer in 2017. Questions such as “Am I living my best life” and “Who or what am I” arose during this process and forced me to go even deeper within. During this time my love for Yin yoga arose. For me, Yin is a very beautiful way to really go within and become aware of the silent presence that is always and what you are. To be present in the body, to feel and to experience what it wants to be met. With softness, openness, curiosity and loving presence. From doing to being.
The lessons will therefore be aimed at getting out of the head, from the stories, ideas and beliefs, to the direct experience of the body, of this moment, where everything is completely welcome.
