Jorinde has been teaching at Thrive Yoga since 2014. She started yoga at the age of 20 and completed her first vinyasa yoga training in 2012. During the first training, she found her teacher and mentor Anat Geiger, and in the following years Jorinde followed all parts of the yoga practice. functional yoga training from then Yogagarden, now The Functional Yoga Teacher Training. She then followed training with Paul & Suzee Grilley, the founders of the functional approach and yin yoga. In 2018 Jorinde became part of the Teacher Training Team of Thrive Yoga.
Yoga is an integral part of Jorinde's daily life. Before her children came into the world in 2016 and 2020, she was in Anat's studio and in the Bikram yoga room several times a week. After the arrival of the children, yoga became even more of a 'home practice' and a daily practice of conscious breath, loving-kindness, discipline and surrender. Yoga outside the mat became a greater dedication and yoga on the mat a wonderful rest and 'gathering point'.
Jorinde's classes are functional, which means that everyone's unique body is optimally expressed in the class. It is not about striving for a picture of an attitude in the head, but learning to empathize with the body. With asana, breathing techniques and meditation you learn to strengthen the inner spectator in yourself. With a resilient body, a clear mind and a relaxed heart you will connect with a greater consciousness and inner joy.
