I spent seven months in India to fully immerse myself in yoga philosophy and Buddhism. I was able to learn from both traditional Indian and Western teachers and a lot of emphasis was placed on the spiritual background of yoga. I feel strongly connected with chakras, meridians and the mental side of yoga, but also try to find a balance with proper alignment and physical aspects of the asanas.
In my classes I like to share a 'total experience', in which asanas are part of the class, but also attention is given to philosophy, pranayama and meditation in order to connect our body, mind and soul. In addition, I have lived in various ashrams and followed silence retreats and I like to weave these experiences of silence into my yoga classes.
