Emily started her yogic path in 2010 shortly after experiencing a difficult labour. She had to ‘let go’ of her body to bring her child into the world. Where did I go? Can I go back? She wondered. This experience sparked her initial interest for pilates and yoga.
Her practice deepened in 2012, when she started her Raja Yoga Teacher Training with Yogacharya Annemiek Latour (4 years, 600 hours - VYN, SYN and RYN). In 2017 she fell in love with Restorative/Yin Yoga and followed classes with various teachers at Delight Yoga (+300 hours). In 2018 she followed an advanced Yin Teacher Training at De Nieuwe Yogaschool (50 hours - RYT) with Alison Melvin.
Emily’s classes a tender mixture of Hatha and Yin. Something she likes to call ‘Hatha Yin Fusion’. The emphasis in all her classes is on turning inwards and reconnecting with your silent, unchanging Self (meditative). She shares what yoga has to offer out of love for life, freedom and inner peace.
