I discovered Yin yoga when my body asked for a ‘counter pose’ of my active (yang) lifestyle. In this challenging period of my life, it felt like I was rediscovering my own body and mind on a whole new level. Even though I often felt a lot of resistance towards meditation and yoga, I knew this was the way for me to find more peace within myself. I learned to reconnect with my body, released tension and felt less restless. Yin yoga allows us to slow down, balances our busy lives and nourishes our body, mind and soul. When I experienced the healing power and all the benefits of yoga, I knew I couldn’t keep this to myself. Now here I am, a few years and studies later, sharing my practice and insights from the heart.
As a life-long student, my classes are inspired by continuous studies of yoga philosophy, Buddhist teachings, Traditional Chinese Medicine, the Chakra energy system, Meridians and of course: a lot of practice and self-inquiry.
As yoga often is referred to as a metaphor for daily life, I love to raise consciousness and practice loving kindness in my classes, so you’ll be able to balance challenging aspects in your life, become more resilient to stress and experience more creativity, joy and light in your life. It’s my intention to create a safe space where I guide you on your journey inward and you can experience a sense of coming home within yourself, tuning in with your true essence.
I’d love to meet you on the mat!
